Football tips today for Bayer L – Stuttgart

Bayer Leverkusen can’t be unhappy with their season so far. Die Werkself are currently third in the standings with 38 points and they are in a very good position to chase a return to the Champions League. We must congratulate the head coach Gerardo Seoane for the work he has done with the team since his arrival at the job.

Leverkusen’s current form is also something that deserves respect. They have won their last three matches in the league which allowed them to be four points ahead of the 4th Union Berlin.

In the previous round Leverkusen achieved their 11th win for the season. Seoane’s team made one of their best performances of the season when they paid a visit to Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park. Leverkusen scored five times and enjoyed a stunning 5-2 win. Dortmund’s Akanji scored himself an own goal while Wirtz, Andrich, Tah and Diaby scored the other four goals for Bayer.

Stuttgart desperately need every point they can win right now. The former champions are in the relegation zone with just 18 points since the start of the campaign. This puts them four points behind the 16th Augsburg and the relegation playoff spot.

Stuttgart’s current form is not something which would allow the club to survive. Pellegrino Matarazzo’s boys lost four of their last five matches and won just one point in the process. Don’t be surprised if Stuttgart’s board find another head coach to finish the season in search of survival.
