SPAL welcomes Hellas Verona in a game from the 18th round of the Serie A
SPAL welcomes Hellas Verona in a game from the 18th round of the Serie A. In our soccer matches tomorrow we will have a look at this fixture.
It’s a difficult season for SPAL so far. The team is 19th in the league with 12 points and just three wins from the beginning of the campaign. It seems that SPAL are destined to fight for their survival this season, because they already lost a lot of points.
Last round brought in some optimism in SPAL’s dressing room, though. Leonardo Semplici’s team achieved an incredibly important win during their visit to Torino, despite of the fact that they were labeled underdogs in this match. They were helped by the fact that Torino’s Bremer was sent off just 10 minutes after the halftime break. The Bulls scored first, but SPAL turned it around with goals from Espeto and Andrea Petagna. This win helped SPAL to overtake Genoa and climb up to 19th place.
Hellas Verona are having a much better season so far, being 12th in the standings with 19 points. But just like SPAL, Verona won just one of their last five games, so they can look for some improvement in terms of their form.
Before the winter break Hellas Verona made their 4th draw for the season. Ivan Juric’ team hosted Torino and they made something incredibe at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi. After 69 minutes of playing Torino had clear three goals lead, but Verona managed to equalise. Giampaolo Pazzini from a penalty kick, Valerio Verre and Mariusz Stepinski scored for the hosts in order to save them a point.
In our soccer matches tomorrow we believe that both SPAL and Hellas Verona will have a solid try to get something from this game. The visitors are better positioned in the league standings, but SPAL can offer a fight here.
